This dataset contains the genome assembly and its annotation for genes, repeats and transposable elements, tRNAs, and non-coding RNAs of the Italian ryegrass (Lolium multiflorum) variety Rabiosa (M.02402/16). The assembly was generated with DenovoMAGIC pipeline (NRGene), then curated to remove the major misassemblies. Protein-coding genes were annotated with MAKER-P with homology-based and ab initio methods. Transposable elements and repeated sequences were identified from a custom built library using RepeatMasker.
