popClimVar: Climatic Variability and Fluctuating Populations

This interdisciplinary team investigates how climate change impacts ecological patterns and species population dynamics. The group synthesizes large-scale data across diverse taxa (fish, beetles, small mammals) to understand species adaptation mechanisms and predict extinction risk, biomass production, and ecosystem stability in response to shifting temperature and precipitation patterns.
